*sigh*… back to business… The Training Load is amassing for our #MyPower Riders in the Dolomites and Swiss Alps. So, instead of looking at a single tree, let’s see the forest. We’ll take a look at the whole week so far. Here are several summaries of each stage and the cumulative Training Loads through 5 of the 7 stages. Matthew Barrowclough Biggest overall effort: Stage 1 (477 TL) Total hours: 25:00:15 (averaging 5 hours a day) Total Training Load: 1457 (averaging 60 TL per hour) Total miles: 370 (14.8 mph average)/595.5 km (23.82 kph) Karolina Ornstedt Biggest Overall Effort: Stage 1 (584 TL) Total Hours: 30:25:26 (averaging 6:06 hours a day) Total Training Load: 1578 (averaging 51.7 TL per hour) Total Miles: 377 (12.4 mph average)/606.7 km (19.9 kph)

Special Note: Craig and I have a contest going on Planned Vs Actual Training Load during his Haute Route. He entered in each stage detail and included what he thought his Training Load would be. Then I went in and entered my estimated Training Load for him in notes. So far we are both doing well:
Craig: 1441 Planned TL through Stage 5 Me: 1430 Planned TL through Stage 5 Actual Training Load: 1428 through Stage 5
*I did adjust both of our estimated loads on the shortened day (Stelvio was cancelled). I subtracted 200 from each of our planned TL to keep it even. Great job Craig! Sam Taylor Biggest Overall Effort: Stage 1 (398 TL) Total Hours: 27:22:51 (averaging 5.5 hours a day) Total Training Load: 1334 (averaging 48.8 TL per hour) Total Miles: 376 (13.7 mph average)/ 605.1 km (22.1 kph) Sam is one of our Verve team members at the Haute Route this year. Every day for the past few weeks he has played mechanic, helped upload MyPower riders data, fielded questions about power and the InfoCrank, and supported riders out on the course. This week he’s riding the Dolomites Haute Route, just for fun!
